Endowment Building

Our endowment consists of long-term financial and non-financial assets that are maintained intact and invested to create a source of resources for the foundation. The endowment cannot be spent on the foundation’s operation or project support.

Slovak legislation does not define this concept of endowment. The Ekopolis Foundation was one of the pioneer organizations in Slovakia that already started to build their endowments at the beginning of 90s.

Our strategic goal is to build endowment whose revenues would cover most of the program and operation costs. Our own resources will strengthen our stability and independence from other donors. We have developed our own investment strategy aimed at the effective and secure valorization of all resources. At the end of 2007 it reached 42,58 Mil. SKK (almost 1.3 mil. EUR)

Financial contribution to the endowment is the most valuable expression of trust to us.
