We invitate you to the conference "Climate changes - on the way to Copenhagen", which take place on November, 23, 2009 in the Hotel Avance, Medená street, Bratislava, at 9:00 am. The organizer of the conference is the Civic Association „For Mother Earth Slovakia" (C.A.).
The conference is organized as a part of the project Slovak Climate Coalition. The aim of the project is to decrease greenhouse gases emissions in Slovakia through awareness raising, promotion of effective mechanisms for decreasing emissions and co-ordination of activities of the climate coalition of Slovak NGOs.
The goal of the conference is to present the actual information and disscuss the challanges of decreassing emission CO2, political events in the climate changes on the international level and in our country, financial support of decreasing emissions and adaptation to the following changes.

The Block Grant entitled "Toward Sustainable Development through Support of Environmental NGOs in Slovakia" supports projects of environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGO) at the local, regional and national level with the aim to contribute to sustainable life and strengthening the civil society in Slovakia. It is financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism, Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the Budget of the Slovak Republic (www.eeagrants.org).
Our priority is to support projects that increase participation of citizens with decision-making, proposing and implementing innovative solutions, as well as enhancing ENGO capacities for partnership with the public and private sector at solving urgent environmental and societal issues.The aim of the Block Grant is to increase the participation of ENGOs in addressing challenges related to the sustainable development in Slovakia.
