In 7th year of Public Spaces Program there were supported 5 projects in towns and villages, which were in 2010 destroyed by floods. The partner of Public Spaces Program is ČSOB Financial group.
Each project obtained the support by 5,500 €.
The financial support was allocated for the projects:
Prša (Lučenec district)
Applicant: Municipality of Prša
Title: Relax area
Renovation of center of the village, which was destroyed by flood in June 2010. On the area stayed just some of downmost trees. The applicants would like to complete the mobiliari, to plant some greenary and to light up the area for organising of events and inhabitants meetings.
Norovce (Topoľčany district)
Applicant: Municipality of Norovce
Title: Relax area in Norovce - place for everybody
Reconstruction of the area around small basin in the village center, which is used for skating in the winter and for barbacue and meetings in summer. The inhabitants would like to create a safe and nice relax area with a playground, benches and flowers, because in spite of floods in the village this place was not destroyed. They want to allocate the sources to this area.
Martovce (Komárno district)
Applicant: MARTOS, C.A.
Title: Renovation of the heart of Martovce
Reconstructio of the park in the center of the village, which is situated near water canal and where are organized cultural events, celebrations, Days of the
village. In the park want place some new mobiliari and renew park for children.
Iža (Komárno district)
Applicant: Iža village
Title: Reconstruction of neglected public space in the village center
Creation of new public space in the previous garden near health care. The area should serve for broad public and for visitors of archelogical locality from
roman time. They would build new place on this protected place on the basis of ideas of local people.
Handlová (Prievidza district)
Applicant: Non formal inhabitants group
Title: Revive the relations in community
The reconstruction on Morovianska street, which was destroyed by floods and creation of the place for meetings, relax, plays. Relevant functions and elements
will be agreed together, the place should be safe and opened for all users.
The applicants will take part on the training, which is organized on January, 20 - 22, 2011.
7th year of Public Spaces Program 2011 is a part of UrbSpace project activities. UrbSpace project is realized from Central Europe Program and financed by European Regional and Development Fund.
