Iron Courtain Trail meeting

At the beginning of January the Ekopolis Foundation was a hospitator of 2 days long meeting of project managers Iron Courtain Trail. It is a cycle trail, 6,800 km long, which is in preparation. It will continue along the previous border between Ost and West. It will lead from North Arctic Ocean to Black Sea.The Ekopolis Foundation is a member of the team, which prepares the middle part of this trail from Germany to Hungary. An other partner of the project is Slovak cycle club.

The objective of the project, which will take one year is the preparation, creation of the procedure and realisation of the trail.

At the meeting there took part the deputies of cycle and turist organisations from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. The partners spoke about procedure, defined the results of the projects and concept of next cooperation.
