The Garden in the Alžbetka Crisis Center renewed

On October 25, 2008 there was a final ceremonial in the Alžbetka Crisis Center in Spišská Nová Ves. The renewed garden and adjusted yard were opened and can serve for the children staying in the facility. The Eden Project was planned and implemented by members and supporters of the crisis center.

Alžbetka nonprofit organization provides a temporary shelter to the children in need. Since the last Saturday, the young clients can spend their free time in the renewed exterior. They are happy to enjoy especially the new climbing frames and swings. There are also new benches, trees and bushes making the yard more cosy. There is also a small spiritual corner with the Madonna statue that was sanctified on Saturday as well.

Martina Gerková, representative of the Skanska SK and Juraj Spuchžák, director of the Christian radio – Lumen celebrated the project’s results together with the children, supporters and management of the nonprofit organization.

The project was supported with the amount of 70 Ths. SKK (2323 EUR) within the People for Trees grant program of the Ekopolis Foundation. The general partner of the program is Skanska SK.
