Six tourist trails in National Parks will revive

     For renewal and increasing of the tourist trails and their infrastructure in National parks in Slovakia gained the support 6 organisations in National parks.

     The projects were supported from the program Living Trails in amount of 29 150 EUR. The program called the Ekopolis Foundation with the partner of the program - TOYOTA. Program supports the careful renewal of the High and Low Tatras and other National Parks, and development of recreational and educational functions of the Slovak nature. Financial support is directed towards restoration and improvement of tourist trails, educational paths and public spaces used by tourists. The supported projects will be realized until autumn 2009.
     There were 15 projects obtained in Ekopolis Foundation in the amount of 83 000 EUR.


     "The quality of the projects was in general very high", said Ján Roháč, the program manager.
"Succesful grantists will renew and increase the turistic trails, educational paths and public spaces used by tourists. Supported projects will solve the actual problems on touristic trails, like neglected marking, cleaning from downfallen trees or high erosion. The projects are very useful and will increase the quality of the trails in national parks, "  specified Ján Roháč.
