The windstorm that damaged the Tatras on November 19, 2004 raised many efforts to support this valuable region's renewal. Besides the immediate remedy of the damage blocking normal everyday living of local citizens, it is enormously important to focus the attention also on the long-term development of the region and search a consensus among competing economic, social and environmental interests.

The ambition of the Fund is to stimulate and include voices of citizens, municipalities, and volunteer organizations in the Tatra renewal process and support their activities.

 

Goal of the Tatra Fund

To support sustainable renewal of the Law and High Tatras for future generations.

Eligible applicants

NGOs, informal groups of citizens, schools and municipalities. The Fund opens special calls for proposals for other groups of applicants.
