Testament

Without a doubt, the testament of Alfred Nobel belongs to the most famous and world-known ones. His last will was to invest a significant part of his estate into a fund, which yields are each year awarded "to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind". The prize is apportioned out in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and peace. First prices were awarded in December 1901, the anniversary of Nobel's death.

Slovak legislation enables each citizen to make a decision about the disposal of his estate after his death.

The Ekopolis Foundation offers the opportunity to all who would like to endow his/her estate or a portion to the Foundation and support areas of our interest this way. Buildings, land, life insurance, copyright, financial assets etc. can be donated in the last will.

A testament, to be valid, must be made by a person of sound mind; and it must be executed and published in due form of law.
