Second volume of the photo competition “Bike to work” has its winners

Second volume of a photography competition called “Bike to work” organised by The Ekopolis Foundation was held on May and June. 157 competing photographies were judged in 3 categories – public voting on Facebook, Instagram and The Ekopolis Foundation award. Winners of all three categories won a cheque worth 100 euros to the cycling eshop www.bikeshop.sk.

The photography competition was part of the fourth volume of the campaign “Bike to work”. There were 74 municipalities, 2 566 teams and record number of 8531 participants, that participated in the campaign. During the month of May, competitors drove more than milion of kilometres on bike, that equals to 28 tours around the world.

The aim of the competition was to increase awareness of bicycle as a transport vehicle and promotion of the competition “Bike to work”. Until the 30th May, deadline of accepting photos, there were 157 photographies. People could compete in 3 categories – through voting on Instagram, on Facebook and the special award of The Ekopolis Foundation.

On Instagram the most votes obtained the photo of Martin Šimiak, and on Facebook it was photo of Nikola Kianicová. The award of the Ekopolis Foundation was won by Pali Kostanjevec. Winners of all three categories received cheques, each worth of 100 euros, for a purchase in the cycling eshop www.bikeshop.sk.
