Bike to Work Photo Copetition Starts Thursday!

For the fourth time, the Ekopolis Foundation has organized a photo competition for the Bike to Work national campaign. The contest will start this Thursday, May 9th and will run on social networks. Everyone can get involved, just send us a photo that you think is well suited to the theme of the competition- “Bike, a suitable alternative to cars for a ride to work”.

Since May 1, the streets of towns and villages have been filled with cyclists, who will be going to their work on two wheels for the whole month as part of the Bike to Work competition. The sixth year of the largest cycling campaign brings a record participation of the citizens – up to 10,000 participants. By registering, they supported not only the idea of ​​developing non-motorized modes of transport in Slovakia, but also their city in competition with dozens of other municipalities.

Photos will be uploaded via Instagram, where the contestant marks his or her photo with “#dopracenabicykli” or via email. The contestant will send the photo in the attachment to e-mail: nadaciaekopolis@gmail.com, write “Fotosútaž” to the subject and give his name and contact. The competitor will then find his photo published on the Facebook profile of the Ekopolis Foundation. The competitionis broken down into three categories – the most beautiful photo on Instagram, Facebook and the Ekopolis Foundation Award.

The deadline for submitting photos to the contest is until May 31, 2019. The winners will be solemnly announced on June 18, 2019 to evaluate the Bike to Work campaign in Bratislava and will receive a € 100 voucher to purchase at the webstore www.bikeshop.sk.
